Story introduction

Embark on the craziest journey of your life in It Takes Two, a genre-bending platform adventure game created purely for co-op. Invite a friend to join for free with Friend's Pass* and work together across a huge variety of gleefully disruptive gameplay challenges. Play as the clashing couple Cody and May, two humans turned into dolls by a magic spell. Trapped in a fantastical world where the unpredictable hides around every corner, they are reluctantly challenged with saving their fractured relationship.

Review

An incredible variety of elements are blended into the outstanding level design. Some are Easter eggs, some are mini-games, and many form core gameplay mechanics that support the overall experience. What they share is how masterfully the designers integrated them across the overarching narrative. Throwaway mechanics, dynamic rhythm, and a smooth, exhilarating, and brisk gameplay experience are exactly why it became such a massive hit.

You may have heard the story of the Tortoise and the Hare countless times, or read countless novels. Though the analogy might seem imperfect, this story feels like the genuine, everyday experience of one of thousands of families. Starting out for a purpose, and returning for each other in the end. This is truly the Ninth Art.
